ATTENTION: 21 June - 10 July 2026 the Cape will be lodging Ocean Plastics Recovery (OPR) crew. No reservations will be available from the dates above and possibly longer.

In additionWe will have a work crew out at the Cape in late July/August 2026 replacing the rafter ends and roof shingles on the Boathouse. Reservations are possible for August 2026 however shared lodging may occur.

Our Go Fund Me/be19d16b Boathouse Restoration Project is still active and you can help us preserve the boathouse for the future.

  • The generosity of our community, State offices, National offices, GFM and other individual donations have given a stronger path to follow and happy hearts.

  • Alaska Maritime Heritage Program Grant awarded by National Parks Service and State of Alaska Historic Preservation Office and the Alaska State Museum, notably the State employees who are not only doing a job they love but sharing and caring that us the grantee succeeds. $9204.00 to pay for the historic cedar shingles pre-finish.

  • The Alaska Community Foundation’s 2023 Cordova Community Foundation Grant awarded $2600.00 for transportation costs incurred every time we go out to the Cape. I also give the Cordova Community Foundation employees and volunteers a huge thank you for their tireless help and inspiration.

  • 49 GFM donations bringing the total to $8890.00

  • Erin Ranney’s Film “My Alaskan Journey” and Wendy Ranney’s continued support $1001.00

  • Numerous mail and handed donations $6740.00

  • Benefactor generous donations as well.
